Let’s Talk Shop (But Not Medical Advice)
The “Fellow Traveler” Clause If you’re on a quest to find your waistline again, or if you’ve discovered a trick for ignoring the siren call of a midnight biscuit, I’d love to hear from you. We’re all just trying to navigate the complexities of our own biology, and a bit of shared experience goes a long way.
However, since we’re dealing with the sensitive business of health and habits, let’s get the “house rules” out of the way first.
When to Send a Signal
- The Habit Swap: You’ve found a way to make fasting fit into a hectic social life or a demanding hobby, and you think it might help others.
- The Technical Query: You’re curious about the specific apps I use to track my windows or the gadgets I use to monitor my progress.
- A Bit of Encouragement: You’ve hit a milestone and just want to tell someone who understands that the first three days are the hardest. I’m always up for a digital “well done.”
- Website Gremlins: Something isn’t clicking, or a link is dead. My inner engineer finds this intolerable, so please let me know.
A Note on Great Questions:
If you raise a point that is particularly interesting, significant, or something I think the rest of the community could benefit from, I’ll likely use it as the spark for a full blog post or a video. I’m a big believer in “learn once, share often.” (Don’t worry, I won’t use your full name if you’d prefer to stay anonymous).
When to Call the Professionals
- “Is This Normal?”: If you’re feeling dizzy, seeing stars, or your heart is doing a drum solo, do not email me. Contact a doctor immediately. I’m an expert in my own hunger, not your physiology.
- Specific Medical Plans: I cannot tell you if fasting is safe for your specific condition. That’s a conversation for someone with a medical degree and a stethoscope, neither of which I possess.
- The Hard Sell: If you’re selling “fat-burning” pills or “magic” tea, save your breath. I’m interested in sustainable habits and science, not expensive shortcuts.
How to Reach Me
Drop me a line
A Note on My “Fast” Response:
I try to be quick, but sometimes life (or a particularly long walk) gets in the way. I usually check my messages once a day. If I’m currently in a “fasting window,” I might be slightly more focused; if I’m in a “feeding window,” I might be distracted by a very nice piece of grilled fish. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
The Bottom Line
We’re in this together, one skipped meal at a time. If you’ve got a story to tell or a question about my journey, I’m all ears.
